Mad Men Season Five

Mad Men is back, and buddy lemmetellya, I've missed me some Don Draper. Although, as a fan of all things Megan, I am seriously disappointed in Megan marrying Don Draper. REALLY? He'll lead you down a path of heartbreak and betrayal! He's lying about his whole LIFE, Megan!! Does that tell you nothing about what kind of man he is? Hmm? LOOK AT ME WHEN I'M SPEAKING TO YOU! That and he's my boyfriend MEGAN. MINE. HANDS OFF!

Ahem. We went to a Mad Men premiere party at Cousin Greg and Jen's house! An officially recognized Mad Men party, mind you...

Being bona fide meant that we were entitled to all sorts of amenities and swag. Such as masks:

pete campbell, betty and joan

another shot of joan and betty visiting

shrimp cocktail in baby martini glasses

drink shakers

There were also Mad Men "Do Not Disturb" door hangers, and Cousin Spencer (not in attendance) made Mad Men coasters out of duct tape! Nice touch!

The Mowrers were invited and showed up out of costume (lame):

jenny tried to fake it with jen terry's old carter high school letter jacket, but we know better

To add insult to injury, they arrived with their children in tow! (rolling my eyes so so far into the back of my head).

lottie sue and me trading knock-knock jokes. they mostly all ended up with some variation of "and then they all fell in a mud puddle!!!"

The Terry children were out of the house, but I did have the opportunity to catch up on their ping pong bracket:
