Lake and Kuzzin's Kamp

Well, today's post is more of a pictorial montage, sorry. Memorial Day weekend started the summer off with a BANG! We began the weekend before with a 2011 inaugural trip to Lake Loudon. We anchored with the Palmers (thanks for the lift, guys!) at Prater Flats and were astounded some minutes later when a dog on one side of the cove jumped in and started swimming to the boat. Everyone was on guard to grab him and pull him in....

but nope. he swam right on by to the other side of the cove. i don't think i could have swum that far.

I thought the water would be freezing cold....

but nope. here we have me as a bathing beauty.

Next, we go to a fancy wedding shower for Carrie and Scott! Congratulations on the impending nuptials!

A couple of years ago, Tommy's cousin Sara announced that she was planning a kuzzin's kamp weekend for all the Smith cousins. They are spread all over the country from CA, to DC, to FL to, of course, TN. We were all IN. No adults ALLOWED. wait a minute....

tim gets the party started with a beer and a can of pringles. the go-to snack for the weekend.

i'll have you know this is about the fourth time i have played putt putt in my life and i tied danton for first place *high five!*

Fun fun fun times with friends and family. I have promised to head up the next kuzzin's weekend in two years so I better get my game face on! Next week: I am a changed woman. That and I go to Hero's Con. That leaves me a changed woman too.
