Slow week this week. Fun week but not too much excitement. I did accidentally dress up like a little girl and go to work though, that was pretty exciting.
no joke, i looked in the mirror running out the door and thought "huh. i look like a 9-year-old. oh well, no one will notice." the first woman i ran into at work told me i looked like a little girl. sigh. i decided two things #1) i would have fun with it, and #2) i would never wear that outfit again. i found a novelty-sized lollipop and used it as an accessory. hilarity ensued all day. that was super fun - anytime i wanted a laugh, i just had to hold up my lolly.
Next, I went to a fundraiser and paid $75 for this craptastic cake.
not. kidding. it sure didn't taste $75 worth of good.
Then it was Saturday! Time to tailgate! Whoot whoot! See how nice and wholesome these two come across?
girl scouts kristina and megan
Unfortunately, Kristina didn't mind her P's and Q's and ended up offending nearly everyone at the tailgate.
uppercut from amber with mega-big rock. that thing can do some damage. (just ask ki)
Next, Kristina managed to offend Seth.
ki getting clocked by seth's ut national championship ring
The violence from the UT fans was getting ridiculous, so we decided to switch allegiance and meet and greet the peeps from Auburn.
ki says "meow!"
We spotted these two lovely ladies and had a nice chat with them about the sights and sounds of Knoxville.
they are wearing these cutie pie dresses and ki and i both (independently, i might add - hate the matchy-matchy look) decided to work it in denim. totally underdressed! the auburn ladies were kind enough not to notice.
On closer inspection - GASP! A long-lost Kappa Delta sister!
i get the KD newsletter and all the co-eds these days do this gang sign thing in pictures nowadays. she showed me how to do it to get our picture taken. it. was. awesome. i felt like i should run back up to massey hall and primp for the band parties to come later in the evening. velcro pygmies, anyone?
Sidebar - I was a KD legacy (how ELSE would I have gotten in) and my mother attended a meeting back in the day. During roll call, our secretary referred to her as Sister Mrs. Venable. It still cracks me up.
the auburn football team arrives! see them in the buses back there? the buses parked and let the away-game fans cheer for them for like five minutes. i thought that was very nice.
tommy poses with some of the auburn kin. he actually knows these guys and they came over for a visit. good times catching up!
We mosey on over to another tailgate to catch up with Matt Mowrer and Farkie. Farkie was trying to get these girls to be his date to the football game - they are bona fide Hooter's Girls!
what i want ain't on the menu
hooter's girls shut down farkie so matt goes as his date to the game
Fun week, though relatively uneventful! I promise, more excitement to come!
