Another busy week in the Smith household...
Last week we had a real treat! Mama and Dipsey treated Tommy, Kim and me to a showing of Cirque du Soleil! The show Quidam was in town and as anyone who's met us can tell you, we LOVE US SOME CIRQUE. We have seen four shows and have vowed to spare no expense when they come to town. But, I had a first - one of the clowns picked me to come up on stage and go on a mini-date with him. I have no idea how they selected me, but all of a sudden a spotlight was on me and a French Canadian clown was beaming down at me so... well, I just went with it. Wallflower, I ain't. Tommy got a couple of bad photos (nice try anyway babe, thanks for looking out for me SMOOCH just the same!)
Recently I visited with Mrs. Mowrer, and she was wearing the most adorable skirt. I kept commenting on it so much that the next day she sent me the link to buy one of my own. I did. I got it, wore it one day, and the next bought one in every color they have in my size - I own five, count 'em FIVE. I was a little perplexed by my whim in buying white when I visited Bliss downtown and saw the cutest appliqued knit skirts they had on sale for eleventy billion dollars. Two hours and three old Ts later we have:
an eleventy billion dollar skirt! |
I wore that on Easter Sunday to visit with the fam. Please, if you're not convinced already, go out and buy every skirt in every color in your size here. You won't regret it.
During family hour, I slipped into Dipsey's study to check something online and noticed a wad of paper towels masking taped to the edge of his desk. You should probably know we also call Dipsey Princess and the Pea, and when I saw this I knew it wasn't an accident. I verified, and yup, the desk he's only owned for about eleventy billion years is now hurting his mouse arm when he has to sit to long at the desk. Solution? Wad of paper towels masking taped to the desk. Of course.
clearly the only option for desk edge discomfort |
ahhhh! what a relief. |
Lastly, Easter wouldn't be Easter without a visit from an old college roomie! Booter Rachel and I were lucky enough to catch up with Booter Merri over breakfast on Monday morning. Yippee!
we all met 20 stinkin' years ago HOW DID THAT HAPPEN? |
So fun to catch up with the ladies! Smooches all around!
Too fun!I loved that you just went along with it and had a grand ol' time at Cirque. I wanted to go so badly but couldn't find the time. I'm living vicariously through you now.
ReplyDeleteAnd cute skirt! Five? I don't blame you though. That's kinda like when you find a great-fitting bra. Better snag them in every color because they won't be there next time... ;)
