That's Mrs. Jovi to you.
Last week Mr. Smith and I travelled to Middle Tennessee to see Jon Bon Jovi in concert! I hadn't been to a concert in like 20 years so I had no clue what to wear. I decided to go with white trash chic. I think I make the look work, see?
heels, jeans, jack daniels tee, crazy earbobs, wild hair. ta dow. sorry boys, i'm taken.
It was only upon meeting the crew we were going with that I realized tight and tacky wasn't en vogue. Angelic Beth Parks and I take a pic to highlight our stylistic differences.
check out my two tons of blush. my head is ginormous compared to beth's i just realized.
No worries though, we have a lovely time visiting with old and new friends!
megan says "CHEEEEEEEEEESE!"
here i am about to meet my new boyfriend
mr. smith doesn't mind so much apparently
OMG thereheis thereheis thereheis
me and mr. smith enjoy the sweet sweet singing of mr. jon bon jovi
Mr. Jovi's and my fate was thwarted *yet again* because I had to go to work the next day at noon so we left early and went back to the hotel to get some shut-eye. Alas, we did not meet. Mr. Smith, I'm yours for another day!
The funniest picture from Nashville:
hahahaha that cracks me up. my initial reaction was 'wow, bold move on part of the ad agency,' but then i realized someone had just sharpied his tooth out.
Last, Cades Cove here in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park has been closed for awhile so they can repair the road. They just opened it back up, and decided to hold a race/fundraiser for the Friends of the Smokies. This is WAY COOL because as far as I can tell, a race hasn't ever been run in the park. I was totes excited and signed up!
it was 10 miles. i'm smiling because this is pre-race.
Running in the race was also Ms. Margie Nichols WHO'S AWESOME AND I WANT TO BE JUST LIKE WHEN I (if ever) GROW UP. She was tickled pink because she smoked me in the race by 14 minutes! It was totally worth getting beat by her because she was so excited about it. (not. kidding.) I was just happy I finished - I was poopy-dooped when it was over. But so glad I did it! I saw turkeys and deer while running and even had to run through a water hazard! I also saw a snake flat and squished and dead and have an unconfirmed siting of a bear.
All right, that's all I got for now! Peace OUT.
